Our history

1824

The first Majstorović, aged 22, works as a judicial clerk in Austrian Empire’s capital Vienna. Svetozar Majstorović establishes ethical principles, highest standard of legal services and family’s excessive striving for knowledge what will later become the core values of Advokatska kancelarija Majstorović.

1952

Advokatska kancelarija Majstorović, the antecedent of Majstorović & Partners, was founded on 18 June 1952 in Ruma by a young lawyer Branislav Majstorović whose coat of arms includes the monogram of letter “M” which we still use today.

1997

The founding partner Živan B. Majstorović, who became vice president of the Bar Association of Vojvodina in 1994, participates in European President’s Conference of the European Bar Associations and Law Societies (Europäische Präsidentenkonferenz, Vienna, Austria) on panel sessions: “Suggestions for EU legislation-which areas require harmonization by way of EU legislation-which areas should remain the domain of national legislation”, “Survey of national reports for EU Legislation” and “Terms of Reference and Introduction to National Legislation”.

The founding partner Živan B. Majstorović, who became vice president of the Bar Association of Vojvodina in 1994, participates in European President’s Conference of the European Bar Associations and Law Societies (Europäische Präsidentenkonferenz, Vienna, Austria).

2001

While we have evolved in international law practice, the founding partner Živan B. Majstorović is appointed legal adviser for civil and criminal areas on implementation of the Final Award to the Supervisor of Brcko District – Principal Deputy High Representative, the Office of the High Representative (OHR).

2018

The firm changes its name to Majstorović & Partners, undertakes rebranding strategy and moves to its current location at 8 Dunavska Street, Novi Sad. Managing partners Branislav Ž. Majstorović (the younger) and Katarina Majstorović agree to move the focus from private clients to corporate law. Majstorović & Partners is regularly involved in complex IT, healthcare, commercial and corporate / M&A matters worldwide.

Majstorović & Partners aspires to be regarded as top-tier firm in certain specialist areas. We aim to be in the best position to influence technology trends and economic events rather than be dominated by them.
